General Marian Cross (general_cross) is the surly and lazy General of D. Gray-Man. He wears a white mask with a cross etched into it on the left side of his face for unkown reasons. He has shoulder length red hair and enjoys wine, smoking, and women.

General Cross is also an exorcist for the Black Cross Organization. he is Allen Walker's "Master" and spent a few years training him to become a better exorcist. Though he is abusive of Allen a lot of the time, he cares for him a lot.

General Cross doesn't like headquarters, and as such, rarely goes. If he does go, it's only to pick up his paycheck from Komui Li. He spends his time traveling the world to find new exorcists as well as avoiding work and people finding him. He has many mistresses, and often gets money for traveling by borrowing money from them. He also has Allen pay off his debts in various ways. General Cross also owns a species of man-eating flowers, which he had named Roseanne.

Little is known about his powers, but he is able to convert akuma for roughly a week. They live as normal people, more or less, but once they hunger as akuma, then they self-destruct.

General Cross has forbade Allen from talking to him in the community. However, he did allow Allen to contact him otherwise, and made half a dozen golems for Allen to give to his friends at Christmas. Each was named after a brand of jewelry, following the trend that he started by naming Timcampy.
