Justice League and Justice League Unlimited

Justice League:

American animated series where Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the Green Lantern, the Martian Manhunter, Hawkgirl, and the Flash team up to fight an abnormal amount of bad guys. Honestly, how can one planet have so many villains?

They also destroy at least one city per episode.

The first season is your typical superhero cartoon flick, but then in the second season they start developing characters. And adding plot. And it gets good.

And then the second season ends and you're left thinking, "bwuh? But it was just getting interesting!"

So they made...

Justice League Unlimited:

Same basic premise as Justice League, except this time the original seven are joined by pretty much every single DC superhero ever created. Of course, to balance out this staggering amount of heroes, they have to compensate by adding a staggering amount of villains. Once again, it's an abnormal amount of both, but this time around they devote the first two seasons to actually addressing the fact (through plot) that a very large group of powerful humans and aliens is highly suspicious, even when they're supposedly working for you.

The plot culminates at the end of season two with super amazing badassery. No, seriously. Not only have the characters developed even further, the plot is gripping and really leaves you on the edge of your seat. Suddenly it's not just a kid's superhero cartoon anymore.

And then the networks saw that it was an amazing show and threatened to cancel it. What.

But then they didn't, and season three was made possible. And season three was just as good as the first two seasons, and it was deemed excellent.

Except by the networks, who decided that they were going to cancel it after all. Much to the disappointment of many. :(

So what are you doing still sitting there? Go watch it!
