K' was originally created as the "prototype" clone of one Kyo Kusanagi, the smartass pyro who is considered to be the main hero in the King of Fighters series. Since his debut in KoF '99, he's been in just about every game since as a mainstay character.

At DDD, he was especially known for being "friends" with the Metal Gear Solid crew, primarily Raiden, and maaabye with an small crush on Raging Raven. Not that he'd ever admit to the fact.

Anyway, he first left DDD to help Raiden with MGS4 canon, only to return a few months later after the whole ordeal.
