Pokemon is a game you've probably heard of.

The franchise is set in a strange world full of wild beings called Pokemon that range in power and size from tiny pigeons to giant dragons that control the flow of time.

In this world young people set out to become trainers, capturing these creatures and raising them to do battle. It's all a little strange but to them this is the norm. School? What School?

There are various different versions of Pokemon canon: The games, the game offshoots, the anime, the anime specials, the manga, and the manga specials. Central characters and stories differ immensely between each version, although in all versions the trainers are rather lacking in fashion sense. (Edit I: Silver would like to point out that he thinks his black fleece is all kinds of wonderful)
