Canon Background:

Shadow is the "Ultimate Lifeform" created by Professor Gerald Robotnik 50 years ago, on the Space Colony ARK. The Professor also had the help of one Black Doom, the leader of the aliens known as Black Arms who resided on the Black Comet, in Shadow's creation. The Black Arms blood used in Shadow's creation is what gives him his black and red coloring, his Chaos Powers and his 'immortality'/agelessness.

During the short time after Shadow was born he befriended Professor Robotnik's granddaughter Maria, of course it was a short lived friendship. What with the government halting all projects on the ARK and killing all involved, except Shadow who ended up escaping in an escape pod because of Maria. Of course the government found it and put Shadow in cold storage.

Anyways, Shadow was released by Dr. Eggman, totally got Maria's promise wrong, was reminded of the correct promise by Amy Rose, of all people, and helped stop the ARK from crashing into the earth. Which lead to people thinking he was dead. Oh, and he, with Eggman and Rouge the Bat, blew up half the moon during all that too.

He's found, not dead, but with amnesia and things happen! Like the entire Sonic Heroes game, there are Shadow Androids too! Then we get to it being exactly 50 years after Shadow was made.

That's when Black Doom and his comet came for a promise made by the Professor to have Shadow provide him with the Chaos Emeralds. That didn't go well, ending with Shadow getting his memories back, blowing up the Black Comet and all the Black Arms with the cannon built into the ARK and with Shadow remaining on the ARK instead of returning to Earth.

And even though he's been through all that? Shadow ain't much of a talker.

Triple D Canon:

Stotic and sometimes snarky, Shadow hasn't done much. He's told Silver, privately, a little bit about what he is, and he finds Demyx and Maraich likeable. Anyone from his world he has a more friendly additude towards, except Sonic the Hedgehog and Knuckles the Echidna. His excuse for joining the community is simply "It beats staring at space all day"/"Better than browsing 4chan".

He also wordhopped to try and help Silver when the boy was put into a coma by Darkrai.

Shadow also asked the community to give Amy the Talk, and that lead to the majority of the community putting in their two cents. He is awfully sorry about that.

And with the appearence of Maria Robotnik on the community, one from before she was killed, well... He's a bit 'argh' about that. And he totally blames the community for it.

A WHOLE BUNCH OF CRAP HAS HAPPENED, and the mun is to lazy to add but but... There is a Knuckles about and Shadow is jellus nao. Fucking Echidna better stay away from his woman. :|
