Timon (ya_mooks) is played by Blue. He's your care free, fast talking meerkat from Disney's The Lion King. Usually Timon is seen riding around with his friend Pumbaa the warthog, and wherever they go the two are commonly refered as Timon and Pumbaa. (We all know Timon wanted his name said first) He logged on to DDD in January 2008.

Personality

Timon lives by his philosophy of "hakuna matata". He tries to be worry free with life's problems, attempting to live each day one at a time, never looking back, and never looking forward. Like the story of "The Grasshopper and the Ant" Timon is the grasshopper prefering fun and games rather than hard labor...and Timon knows how to have fun. He is outgoing, friendly, loyal to his friends, but on the downside Timon does have a bit of greed and competitor's spirit in him. He's known to get in to some mischief here and there, and drag others with him, but it is harmless stuff really. He enjoys eating bugs and eating in general. Deep down he's got the stomach of an elephant. He hates carnivores or those higher on the food chain than he is. Except for Simba.

Canon History

(going by movie canon, not animated series. Saving those for possible plots down the line.)

Timon started off living like any other meerkat. In a colony underground, digging, and watching out for carnivores. It got old fast for Timon doing the same thing everyday and not to mention Timon was not very good at fitting in with the group. He believed there was a better life out there. Something better than living underground away from danger. The rest did not agree. Timon eventually left the colony in search of that something better. During his journey he met his best friend Pumbaa who was an outcast from his own heard and the two shared simliar views. Finally they found a haven all to their own without life's worries to bug them. It was a good life where they first adopted their "hakuna matata" ways. One day they discovered a young lion cub lying weak in the desert heat. They rescued him, raised him, taught him their ways, and the Timon and Pumbaa duo quickly became the Timon, Pumbaa, and Simba trio. It was still a good life until Simba's past caught up with him a.k.a. the she lion, Nala. Simba relized he couldn't keep running from his past. Turned out he was King of the Pride Lands and ranaway after his father was killed by his uncle. Of course Simba was young and thought he caused his father's death. Some sense was knocked in to him literally, and he went back to face his uncle. Timon and Pumbaa went along to help their friend in need. Simba, with help, was victorious and regained his lands and title. Timon now lives in the Pride Lands with Simba and Pumbaa hitting up every all-you-can-eat bug buffets and still following his care free philosophy. He is currently set at the beginning of the second movie.

DDD History

Timon was out one day hunting for bugs, or maybe just something to munch on with Pumbaa. Without warning they ran in to unknown tourists who just happened to have their camp set up in Timon's favorite spot to dig for grub. Timon convinced Pumbaa to scare them off, and by accident, Pumbaa did by gassing them. The tourists fled, but left behind some strange objects. Timon couldn't keep his hands off the loot and discovered a laptop which he calls machine-a-ma-jig. Who knows how he found Drama Drama Duck, but his curiosity got the better of him and he joined. He's seen some interesting things on the community, and while some of it makes him raise an eyebrow or two, Timon sees it's potential for some fun. Perhaps it will allow him to spread his hakuna matata ways to its people.

It didn't take long for Timon to get hit with a virus called the tied-up virus. Somehow he wound up in another world tied up to the Transformer, Grimlock. Try what they might the rope did not come off. Grimlock tried bitting it which almost took Timon's tail off, cutting it, bashing it, tugging at it, tripping and falling into boxes with it, and even pouring acid over it with the help of Grimlock's teammate, Wheeljack. Whatever the rope was made of it never received a scratch. Giving up, Timon and Grimlock had to endure each other's company for four days. It wasn't so bad for Timon. He got to ride a giant metal Pumbaa. Only he was a T-rex. On the fourth day Timon and Grimlock woke up to find the rope broke off with no explanation. Grimlock went to do what he had missed most...go Dumb'con bashing. Timon found his way back to his own world thanks to worldhoppers.

When Timon arrived back on his own world he discovered Simba and Nala were expecting a cub soon. Timon was delighted and couldn't wait to be an uncle again. Of course Timon assumed it would be another boy, but instead it turned out to be a girl. Her name was Kiara, and as she grew up, turned out to be quite the reckless little niece for Timon. Timon was always carefully watching her upon Simba's request. Knowing how protective Simba was with his daughter, Timon was always nervous about making sure Kiara was safe. He didn't want to think what Simba might do to him if he failed to care for Kiara. Of course this ment added stress for Timon especially when Kiara herself found Drama Drama Duck. Timon did what he could to keep her out of trouble, but even he couldn't stop the occasional viruses that hit the community.

The community does have its advantages from time to time. Thanks to Drama Drama Duck, Timon was struck with curiosity about the wonders of chocolate (and chocolate covered bugs). In an attempt to find out for himself Timon has set off on a quest around Africa to find this chocolate and try it for himself first hand.
