Zidane Tribal is the main male protagonist of Final Fantasy IX. He's blond, a bit cocky and self-assured but also sweet and sympathetic towards others. He's also a rather rowdy teenager, with all the girl-crazy hormones that goes with it. His babe-hunting schemes generally end up in failure, though, one way or another.

His most noticable and unique physical attribute is his long, monkey-like tail. It often reflects his moods in the way it moves, so it's generally very active with swishes, curls and flicks. It's strong, as well; enough to wrap around something and hold his own body weight, or pick up random objects as long as they aren't too small or heavy. For instance: a pot or pan would be easy, but a fork would be nearly impossible.

As far as skills go, he's a master thief and cutpurse, as well as a skilled fighter; his preferred weapons being daggars and short swords. When his emotions reach a max peak, he can go into 'trance', which boosts his attack and magic power greatly. In Trance his appearance alters: most of his body (excluding his face and arms) becomes covered in pinkish-magenta fur, and his hair and eyes turn the same color.
